Our mission is simple: get hard-working South Africans working.

South Africa has one of the highest unemployment rates in the world. Behind that statistic are millions of capable, willing, hard-working people. cleaners, gardeners, farm workers, painters, drivers, domestic workers. who want nothing more than an honest day's work. They are not unemployed because they lack skill or character. They are unemployed because the system for finding work was never built for them.

Think about how most jobs are found today. Online job boards, professional networks, polished CVs, cover letters, email addresses, application portals. These platforms serve office workers and professionals well, but they were never designed for the worker who has a phone, a strong pair of hands, and twenty years of experience, yet no laptop, no email account, and no way to put that experience on paper. The people who need work the most are served the least. We're not okay with that.

Everybody in South Africa has WhatsApp. So that's where we built the front door. No apps. No forms. No CVs to type. No fees. Ever.

How Jobzas works

A job seeker saves one number and sends one message on WhatsApp. Our AI-powered recruiter then has a friendly conversation with them. in their own language, by text or voice note. and builds a complete, professional worker profile: who they are, where they live, what they can do, their experience, and their references. In five minutes, a worker who has never had a CV in their life has one.

On the other side, employers. households, farms, estates, businesses. simply describe who they're looking for, and Jobzas finds matching, verified workers nearby. Real people, real references, real skills, close to the job. What has always been informal, scattered across notice boards and word of mouth, becomes simple, safe, and dignified for both sides.

Built on the cutting edge of AI

Jobzas exists because artificial intelligence finally makes it possible. The same technology transforming industries around the world can now conduct a warm, patient interview in isiZulu on WhatsApp, turn a voice note into a professional profile, and match the right worker to the right job in seconds. President Ramaphosa has spoken about Africa's opportunity to harness AI for growth and inclusion rather than be left behind by it. This is exactly the kind of use he means. We believe the most powerful application of AI in South Africa is not making privileged lives more convenient. It is opening the door to work for the people who have been locked out.

Free. and it will stay free for workers

Jobzas is free for every job seeker, always. It is against the law in South Africa to charge someone to find work, and it is against everything we stand for. Running the platform, however, is not free. verification, secure data storage, AI processing, and growth all cost money. To keep Jobzas free at the scale this country needs, we will need support: donations from those who believe in the mission, partnerships with businesses who hire through the platform, and, in time, the backing of government and institutions who share the goal of putting South Africans to work.
